The north end of the trail begins across a wash from Forest Road (FR) 78 and travels south along the western slopes of the Superstition Mountains. For a short distance the trail follows a barbed wire fence; after ½ mile it crosses an abandoned road. At about 1 1/3 mile is a junction with one leg of the Treasure Loop Trail 56. After 1/8 mile the other leg is encountered. At mile 1½ a bench offers a place to rest. The trail then ascends very gradually to a junction with Prospector’s View Trail 57 and joins that trail for a short distance. The trail then crosses Siphon Draw Trail 53. Continuing south, the trail crosses a series of rocky washes while contouring its way through the Superstition Foothills. At mile 4 ¼, the trail crosses a large ravine and climbs a ridge. On the ridge, the trail reaches its highest point at mile 5¼. The trail turns southeast and descends gradually until reaching the trailhead at Broadway Road.
