Description
The trail is one anda half miles to the National Park boundary,where the trail continues over 30 miles into theOlympic National Park. The experience level ismostly easy except for a few moderate grades.NOTE: Obtain a Park Wilderness permit at a Parkoffice for all ovenight trips in the Park
The trail provides a gentle tomoderate hike through a lush temperate rainforest river valley.
The trail provides hiking,riding, or biking with your dog and scenic viewsof a rain forest and large wetland area. There isa good chance to see or hear Roosevelt elk.CAUTION: Be sure to carry adequate drinkingwater, and be prepared for bad weather (windand rain) by carrying rain gear and warmclothing. During hunting season, wear orange orother bright colors. Tether stock in designatedareas only and ford streams at designatedcrossings only. Practice Leave No Trace.
Motorized vehicles are prohibited.NOTE: The trail is closed to mountain bikes atthe Park boundary. Pets, including dogs, andfirearms are prohibited in Olympic National Park

Travel US Highway 101 five milessouth of Forks to Undie Road (near milepost188). Turn east and proceed approximately fivemiles east to the trailhead on FS Road #2958.
