Description
The Rainbow Rim trail is a recently built singletrack trail that offers some of the best mountain biking in the Northern Grand Canyon National Park area. Riders of all ability levels will have an excellent time riding the smooth, packed red dirt trails through forests of Ponderosa Pine and stands of Aspen. Expansive views of the northern section of Grand Canyon National Park can be enjoyed along the majority of the ride.
Covering 18 miles, the Rainbow Rim trail starts at either Parissawampitts Point or Timp Point, the most popular direction beginning at Parissawampitts and finishing at Timp Point. The one way option on the trail is facilitated by car shuttle. Riders may choose to ride out and back on the Rainbow Rim from either start point, thereby doubling their time and mileage.Details

The Rainbow Rim trail is remote, and though popular, riders should consider bringing extra food, water and clothing as temperatures may shift dramatically in this magnificent region. A repair kit is also not a bad idea.
