Snowfall is rare over the Davis Mountains, but the temperatures do drop below freezing and even summer nights can be a little chill. Summer days are hot, but lack any kind of muggy humidity, and the elevation tends to lessen the heat quickly. The Davis Mountains, on the whole, can be more crisp and pleasant than playing on either extreme.
