Houston is hot, humid, and rainy, and although summer temperatures only reach the mid-nineties, the air is so wet that they can seem hotter. Fortunately, air conditioning is excellent in Houston, so an indoor summer isn't bad at all and the coast is close. Winters are much milder and those who want to spend a lot of time outdoors in Houston can just avoid those summer months.
