Description

The Old Tunnel Wildlife Management Area may be small, but it rivals and surpasses Austin's Congress Avenue Bridge for bat watching. Three million Brazilian free-tailed bats gather in an old, abandoned railroad tunnel from April through October and emerge enmasse every evening. The birding and star-gazing are also fantastic.
