Texarkana, uniquely straddling the border of Texas and Arkansas, is an attraction in itself. Many tourists come here simply to come here, to stand in front of the famous post office and on top of the state border. The parks are relaxing, though, and particularly gorgeous in the autumn and the opry and theatre make for excellent live entertainment. Don't make the mistake of swinging by the post office and moving on.
