This trail system is mostly for intermediate riders, all climbing and technical, but the first part of the trail which crawls along the river bank is pretty easy. There's a main trail and intersecting, smaller trails. Some of these smaller trails can be extremely scary unless you're advanced.

Ride past landmark Lighthouse Peak or even ride up there. This trail has a number of off-shoots, some borderline nuts, some simply paved road. Choose your mood, but be aware that the main trail itself is no sweet and easy trail. Lots of sand and technical elements.

The scenery is terrific, but this is a very, very sandy trail, so sandy that many riders get discouraged. If you can take the sand, there's some nice, steep descents and some scary ascents.

Several loops at varying skill levels (although the expert loop is closed for now). Even the short loop is a little tricky, though, so beginners should go warily. The trail is pretty narrow and has plenty of turns . . . and exposed tree roots.
