A very popular (and unfortunately very crowded) trail, the Grapevine North Shore threads along the lake. Although some of the trail is beginner friendly, it gets into serious rock gardens on the west side and even the east side can get a bit hairy for the inexperienced. Lots of uphills and downhills...

Short, rooty trail broken up by creek crossings and rocky climbs. Do watch for pedestrians, as this is a multi-use trail (and two-way.)

This is a rocky trail (very rocky), but you can bypass the nastier rocks without too much trouble. The ascents and descents are nice and you can get some speed along with your steep.

Another trail for all riders, you'll bike down curves and hills grown up with trees. The expert section is pretty rocky and steep, so beginner riders will probably want to bail onto the fire road before they hit it.

The descents and ascents both are absolutely murderous and even advanced riders have been known to hop up and walk their bike through sections. Juniper Point has been considered a kind of "benchmark" for hardcore bikers.

A friendly trail for beginners and intermediates, not too easy, but not too tricky, either. Some fast and flat sections, some switchbacks, and a few rooty short climbs. Mellow and fun. A fun beginner trail, and fun for the slightly more speed-happy non-beginner. The trail is heavily lined with trees and you're darting between them in tight twist and turns.

A great workout, but only if sand and more sand doesn't bother you. The terrain rolls and there is miles and miles of it, so the workout is a given.
